Is King James Bible the Only Authoritative Bible?

There is a great discussion stating that King James Version (KJV) is the most authoritative version of the English Bible translations.

Conclusions:

I recommend the New King James Version (NKJV) (due to it contemporary English language) along with Strong's concordance and cross referring to other versions for a better understanding of the text as well as the various (mis-)translations.
