Bible Message/Preaching : Holy Spirit: The Power from above!

8"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." (Acts 1:8)
13"However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14"He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. (Jn 16:13-14)

Jesus said to the disciples : 5"for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now." (Act 1:5)

Who is Holy Spirit? Why was Holy Spirit Poured out?
The Holy Spirit is not the power from above but the Spirit of God. He is the Spirit of Jesus. And we will get heavenly power when we receive the Holy Spirit.
17And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. 18And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy. (Acts 2:17-18 | Joel 2:28-29)
5"But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, Where are You going?' 6"But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. 7"Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 8"And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: (Jn 16:5-8)
16"A little while, and you will not see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me, because I go to the Father." 17Then some of His disciples said among themselves, "What is this that He says to us, A little while, and you will not see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me'; and, because I go to the Father'?" 18They said therefore, "What is this that He says, A little while'? We do not know what He is saying." 19Now Jesus knew that they desired to ask Him, and He said to them, "Are you inquiring among yourselves about what I said, A little while, and you will not see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me'? (Jn 16:16-19)

Why did Jesus say "a little while you will not see me and again a little while you'll see me"?
23"And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. 24"Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. 25"These things I have spoken to you in figurative language; but the time is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figurative language, but I will tell you plainly about the Father. 26"In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father for you; 27"for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from God. 28"I came forth from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father." (Jn 16:23-28)
...all that Jesus began both to do and teach, until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen, (Act 1:1-2)

Consequences of the out pouring of Holy Spirit: -> Changed lives! 1When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. 5And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven. 6And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. 7Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, "Look, are not all these who speak Galileans? 8"And how is it that we hear, each in our own language in which we were born? (Acts 2:1-8)
Coward Peter spoke boldly, almost every apostle become martyrs 14But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, "Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words. (Acts 2:14)
38Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39"For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call." (Acts 2:38-39)
They told about the disciples as ->
..., "These who have turned the world upside down

Our guarantee for eternity with Him ->
13In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory. (Eph 1:13-14 ) And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Eph 4:30

Power of authority ->
19and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. 22And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, 23which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. (Eph 1:19-23)
